I met Stefanie Meachin, one of the co-founders of Femme Health, at Womanifest this summer. They are on a mission to support women’s reproductive health, from periods to the menopause. The Femme Health values very much align with mine. In Stef’s own words, “For us, fertility health isn’t just about conception, it’s about the journey between your first period and your last, it’s about putting you first.” As you can imagine, we instantly clicked! And I am pleased to announce that I am now an affiliate partner of Femme Health. This means that you can benefit from a special discount code to use across their website.
What do Femme Health do? They sell a range of women’s health products, tailored for each stage of a woman’s life. From periods, conception, and pregnancy to menopause, they’ve got it all covered. Let me tell you about how some of their products* may be of benefit to you (and other women in your life).

Tracking Your Cycle
Understanding the body’s signals forms an important part of my coaching programs. The more we can tune in, notice, and track signs like body temperature, the better we can address underlying issues.
The standard method to track body temperature is to measure Basal Body Temperature (BBT). This is measured every day upon waking and shows a temperature shift once ovulation has occurred. This method is often used by women trying to conceive, those with irregular periods or those using the Fertility Awareness Method.
While it is a simple, low-cost method, some women find it difficult to stay consistent with taking readings. One of the downsides of BBT is that it is influenced by many different factors, including poor sleep, travel, illness or stress. Part of the process of tracking BBT is working out which of these factors affect your temperature readings (everyone is different). Once you’re familiar with tracking BBT, it can provide incredibly useful information.
An alternative way to measure temperature is by using a wearable. There are several on the market but they all essentially track temperature throughout the night (or continuously over 24 hours). This measurement is different to Basal Body Temperature but also works on the principle that we see a temperature shift around the time of ovulation.
Femme Health stocks the popular Tempdrop*. It is currently on sale and with the 10% discount code, it works out to £179.10.

Managing PMS symptoms
A while ago, I published a post on Instagram about the benefits of magnesium, vitamin B6 and calcium for PMS relief. I listed food sources of these nutrients as my nutritional therapy approach prioritises food as medicine. Yet, sometimes, we need a little boost with supplements. I myself occasionally take a magnesium supplement to help with insomnia in the 2nd half of my cycle.
Looking at the Femme Health website, I spotted 2 products that are aimed at PMS relief:
DR VEGAN PMS Hero® – which contains magnesium and vitamin B6 as well as dandelion root and agnus castus (chasteberry)
Wild Nutrition Food-Grown® Premenstrual Support – which provides vitamin B6, minerals and botanicals.

Going Through the Change
For any of my readers going through perimenopause and menopause, I’d like you to take a moment and think about which symptom you’re currently finding most troublesome. Is brain fog? Hot flushes? Or would you like an alternative to HRT?
For me at the moment, I find it difficult to find my words. Or rather the English word doesn’t come to mind quickly enough and all I can think of is the French word! (for those of you who don’t know, I’m bilingual, born in France). So I am going to try DR VEGAN Brain Fuel® . As for my insomnia and my love of tea, I have bought HOTTEA MAMA Organic Night Owl. I’ll let you know what I think in a future newsletter.
